Fire has fascinated people since ancient times. It is vivid and comforting. Who doesn?t dream about escaping while comfortably seated in an armchair, next to a crackling fire, with an excellent glass of wine? ![]() Fire is, however, a difficult element to tame. Incorrectly used, it can be extremely harmful to the environment. Flying sparks and falling logs could cause a fire, or the heat is so poorly directed that the warmth just disappears up the chimney. Together with the prominent and independent TNO (Environment, Energy and Innovative Development) Eurovlam has developed a wood burning stove which not only goes beyond today?s strict standards but also offers an appliance which allows you to control the fire: utilising the ancient element and magically transforming it into environmental heating. On January 1, 1997 Dutch authorities introduced regulations, with regard to the environment. The product label of the association VHR (Vereniging Haard en Rookkannaal / Society for Hearths and Chimneys), indicates that the regulations are adhered to and the product is designed for European legislation. Eurovlam?s wood burning stoves are developed using high quality steel: CORTEN. The steel plates are cut and welded together. The stove?s interior is finished with fire resistant stone. Due to this finishing, the temperature in the stove can be accurately maintained with maximum wood combustion. Overheated air doesn?t create good circulation. With stone inserts there is a better burning process and this is especially true for wood burning stoves. A fireproof stone is inexpensive, easy to replace, and lasts for years. The maximum wood combustion in a Eurovlam stove results in a diminished amount of wood and remaining ashes (approximately 99% of the wood is burned!) TNO has calculated that an average of 2.5 Kg of wood per our is sufficient. According to its specific gravity, this weight corresponds to a 32 cm long piece of wood with a diameter of 12 cm. Each year tons of residual wood from our forests and , for instance, the furniture industry, is wasted. A Eurovlam stove allows you to use this plentiful energy source, resulting in a considerable reduction in gas or electricity consumption. Eurovlam is not only proud of the principle of the "gradual combustion procedure", (which means that a Eurovlam stove can offer you a higher yield and a clean combustion) but also that the glass remains clear because air is being blown along the interior side of glass, which keeps the smoke away from it. This technique means that a Eurovlam stove gives a clear view of the fire, a long burning time with little wood, low emissions and clean combustion. You can immediately recognise a Eurovlam stove because of the crystal transparency of its glass, the neatness of its interior stove and the absence of smoke, but, above all, because of the serenity of its flames. Dutch and European patents (patent 95201902.2) have been granted for the neatness of the combustion as well as the glass? cleanness system. Eurovlam has indeed secured a prominent position among the European producers of stoves. Although, it is more important for Eurovlam to have a prominent position in your home. The stove can be finished to your choice regarding colour, ornaments, etc. A Eurovlam stove is not a mass product, but a piece of craftsmanship made with the utmost care by specialists. Do you opt for a timeless design or do you prefer a more modern approach? Or does your taste go back to the days of Grandmother?s time? Whatever your preference may be, there is a Eurovlam stove to match your wishes. The great thing about Eurovlam stoves and fireplaces is that there is always one for every interior. In this way a sleekly designed fireplace in the right colour can be a magnificent centre of attention in a modern interior. One of the biggest advantages of a Eurovlam stove or fireplace is that the clean glass system guarantees a unique view of the dancing flames while the multiple combustion reduces the emission of harmful waste.
